(CNN)A helicopter carrying workers from an oil platform to the mainland crashed off the coast of Hordaland, Norway, Friday, killing at least 11 people, a police official told CNN. Thirteen people were on board the aircraft, said Superintendent Morten Kronen.

It’s not clear whether anyone survived the crash, but the rescue and recovery effort was halted at 5 p.m. local time (11 a.m. ET), officials said. The searches have concluded. We are no longer searching for the last two passengers,” Eorte Galti, with the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre Southern Norway, told CNN.” Witnesses have said the rotor of the helicopter was seen flying away from helicopter before it crashed, but I cannot confirm,” Galti said. BirdMan CEO of Cashmoney Records

BirdMan pays a visit with The Breakfast Club Power 105.1 recently and lets just say he was not happy with anyone. The Breakfast Club if you don’t know is the Number1 radio morning show in the U.S. consisting of Dj Envy, Charlamagne Tha God, and Angela Yee. Now we all know BirdMan has been all over the gossip sites with him & Lil Wayne having a big fall out over money owed to Wayne, and lets just say Birdman’s track record isn’t the best because he’s been accused of this before throughout the years with members of CashMoney. None the less him and Lil Wayne have squashed their beef & recently been seen together and settled for an undisclosed amount of money.  BirdMan wasn’t to thrilled with the way he says The Breakfast Club was disrespecting his name through the whole situation.

image

Earlier today the Tennessee Titans traded their No. 1 overall pick, No. 113, and No. 177 pick to the newly franchised Los Angles Rams (formerly the St. Louis Rams) for their 15th overall pick, No. 43, No. 45, No. 76 picks in 2016. Tennessee will also get the Rams’ first and third round pick next year. Tennessee needs so much so it’s a good deal for the Titans!

So Long, Kobe

image

Well, it looks like the day has finally come in the career of Kobe Bryant, retirement. One of the best to ever play the game announced at the start of this year that this would be his last. After an illustrious twenty-year career where he won many scoring titles, several first team all NBA honors, first team all defensive team honors, an 81 point game, an MVP, and most noticeable 5 championships. Kobe is playing his last game tonight against the Utah Jazz who are actually playing for a playoff spot. The game will be played at The Staples Center in Los Angles and the crowd most certainly will be electric. All ticket prices would suggest that belief but there is a report that one man paid $27,000 for a premium sideline seat. There will definitely be celebrities in attendance to see one of the best ever close out a remarkable career and he warrants the admiration. The high school phenom (Lower Merion High School, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) was the 13th pick to the Charlotte Hornets but was traded a couple days later to the Lakers for Vlade Divac. While Divac was a good player, many have called the trade one of the worst in NBA history. Kobe’s production has tailed off significantly this year after coming back from an achilles tear in 2013. After that injury Bryant had more problematic injuries (season ending knee surgery in 2014, shoulder injury in 2015) that in conjunction with the 2013 injury left him unable to perform the way he and fans were accustomed to. Bryant told us at the start of the season that this would be it and he attempted to give the fans the farewell they wanted but for the most part, it just wasn’t there. This seasons shortcomings shouldn’t erase Bryant’s years of greatness though. All good things come to an end an end and Bryant’s career is no different. From childhood Kobe has been one of my favorite players to ever play the game so to see him retire is like a part of my youth being retired. Despite “The Mamba’s” retirement, there will be celebration and deservedly so. Everyone didn’t like him but all had to respect him. Salute Kobe…

The Warriors on the verge of history

image

The Golden Warriors look to break the season wins record tonight against a depleted Memphis Grizzlies team. The Warriors played Memphis the other and squeaked out a nail biting, one point victory, but tonight most have considered the record breaking 73rd win a forgone conclusion. Golden State tied the 95-96 Bulls record of 72 wins the other night against the San Antonio Spurs whom most consider the Warriors biggest roadblock to another championship. Of course that matchup would be a western conference championship for a chance to face the eastern conference champion in the NBA finals. An ESPN poll showed that the Cleveland Cavaliers are the odds on favorite to come out of the east but a following poll showed that the Warriors would beat the Cavs again like last year. Back to back championship, presumably back to back MVPs, and breaking the wins record would definitely make these Warriors one of the best teams ever.

APPARENTLY PEOPLE REALLY DO HATE TRUMP

image

Evidence that Trump is not a very well liked individual was recently removed from Central Park in New York City. What confirms the Trump disgust came in the form of a headstone that read “Trump-Donald J.” The headstone also had Trump’s birth year (1946) engraved and the words “Made America Hate Again” in place of his campaign slogan “Make America Great Again”. The headstone was removed shortly after someone reported seeing it.

Ben Simmons declaring for the draft

img_7553

“I’m making it official,” Simmons told ESPN late Sunday. The 19 year old, 6 foot-10 Australian is expected to be the number one overall pick in this years NBA draft being held on June 23. Simmons averaged 19.2 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 4.8 assists for an LSU team that didn’t do enough to make the NCAA tournament with an unimpressive record of 19-14 and just 11-7 in the SEC. LSU opted to decline the invitation to play in the NIT tournament. Although Simmons is expected to go first in the draft, there is a growing belief that he’s gaining competition for that honor from the Duke Freshman, Brandon Ingram.
